Well done to all of the 27 Gold, Silver and Bronze expeditioneers who braved the rain, cold weather and snow on the ground over four days this last week. Thankfully the last day for everyone was sunny and calm, nobody got lost and everyone gained a lot from their experiences. The pictures show the Gold route by Cross fell, the camp at Yont the Cleugh, Featherstone Castle footbridge with the Bronze practice from Griffin Explorers and the Gosforth Silver team at the end of their expedition.
A little note of appreciation from Fiona............
"Just wanted to say thanks for providing us the opportunity to get blistered, painful feet and thanks for giving us an opportunity to get wet, cold and tired for 3 whole days.
... but I still thought that it was all fun.
I appreciate all the work that has gone into it, thanks."
Thanks also received from Tim Owens and Matthew Weatherly:-
"Thanks so much for your time and effort to help
with the silver D of E
much appreciated."
Plus:
Can I add our thanks for making the recent expedition happen.
We really appreciate your enthusiasm and the time involved, not only during the expeditions but also all the preparation.
Sophie had a great time (as usual) and gets such a lot out of all her Scouting activities!
Best wishes
Rachel and Simon Daniels
